Have you ever said yes to something that realistically you can’t do? Two weeks ago, I said ‘of course I could write something about light on one hundred candles’. It didn’t take long for me to realise that there was no way I could write on tiny candles with my shaky hands. I did find a solution and now I’ve one hundred candles with different quotes about light stuck on them. For the first time in a long time I have achieved something of note, so ha ha MS, I did it!
There is something wonderful in achieving a target. If you are feeling defeated, think of one thing you can do right now and do it! Self-fulfillment is a brilliant thing.
Thinking in tandem with that, I was reminded about the little lights I come across every day. I struggled into the park over a week ago, but I was so glad I had because I saw the most cheerful man waving at me. I am still thinking about it. Cast your mind back over your week, what lights have sparkled for you?
This morning my cleaner folded up the blankets beside me and we both agreed that being in a tidy space helps us tremendously. I always tidied before I lost my stability but seeing somebody doing it for me is a joy.
You don’t know what impact you have on people round you. Even a wave or a smile can bless them. So, believe that you have something to give and let your light shine. It is nearly Christmas after all.
