What’s with the title?

‘A Room of One’s Own’ is the title of an extended essay by Virginia Woolf, which was made up of material from a series of lectures she gave in 1928.  In these, Woolf maintains that there was never a female Shakespeare because women at the time did not have the liberty or the resources to channel their literary talents.

‘Snatches’ follows this theme – being a full-time mum to two small children, and an obsessive house-wife (!), I find little time and space to write – snatching a moment here and there, and consequently snatching ideas because I don’t have the time to come up with my own!
