Post to the Island tells the story of Josie as she tries to forge a path for herself in a small, watching island community after her dad’s death. The day after the funeral, her dad’s young business partner Seamus suggests Josie take up the reins of picking up the mainland deliveries. The trips on the curragh continue and Seamus changes from being the annoying school-boy in her past to someone she can’t help but depend upon. As their relationship deepens, her friend Aisling works to get her away to start a new life in Dublin. Josie leaves with conflicting emotions – will her new-found independence keep her away from the only world she’s ever known, or will she go back, hoping for another chance at love?
