“I will give you the treasures of darkness [the hoarded treasures] And the hidden riches of secret places, So that you may know that it is I, The LORD, the God of Israel, who calls you by your name.,”

I set out on my trike, cautioned by my husband not to go as far as the park. To just go up and down along my street. ‘I’ll never see anyone if I stay here’ I thought. Wrong! On my way back down the street, a white haired lady stopped me to talk. I gave her an abbreviated version about having MS. Her genuine sadness about that was precious. I knew then that, without seeking it out, I had encountered a hidden treasure. She told me she prayed and I told her I prayed too. We both agreed that there was nothing better. And guess what her name was? Pearl

So never give up, the jewels will sparkle in places you never expected. I had planned in this post to celebrate the people in my life that lift me up so many times, like my parents, my immediate family, a sparkling circle of American women who pray together most weeks, two friends who come here regularly to pray, and so many more. Turn your thoughts to the diamonds in your life and give thanks.

Never think you are out of reach for someone to bless you, like I did today. Kindness can stretch to your dark corner. Just wait and be amazed!
