I am feeling so thankful for this change in the daylight hours. It has been a hard time in the dark wilderness through these past winter months, hasn’t it?
It is easy to forget that seasons change when you are struggling in winter. But then the sun breaks through or bulbs push out of the soil and you are saved by light and colour.
I had a very unproductive appointment with a neurologist this morning but now I am enjoying the wonders in the creation all around. If I could, I would stand at the edge of the sea and watch the waves crash against the shore.
If you are able, let the tide turn and welcome the new landscape it creates for you. The dark wilderness has gone and new blessings are waiting. I read this relevant passage today: Psalms 30:5 ‘weeping may stay for the night, but rejoicing comes in the morning.’
I truly hope that something happens soon that comforts you and reminds you that whatever you are struggling with right now, the sun is on its way.
