It is a very changeable day weather-wise today. It’s been blue and sunny but then, hailing and grey. When your life is full of dark clouds, remember they can part. There is an interesting plant in my front garden that was covered in white blossom but now, the white is leaving and beautiful red flowers are appearing. I don’t know its name but I think it looks like redemption so I’ll call it that!

It is nearly Easter, a time of darkness turned to light, death giving way to life.

Whatever darkness you are going through right now, remember that in the same way as the seasons change, the clouds part, the flowers appear, your hard life can get better. Maybe not always, but sometimes.

Sometimes, birthday cake is baked, sometimes a toddler takes their first step, sometimes a lonely person tells their friend a joke, sometimes the red blooms push out the tired white ones. And one time Christ’s death bought us all salvation. One time, one person for the whole messed up world. We definitely need to hear that good news.
