‘There are only two ways to live your life. One is as though nothing is a miracle. The other is as though everything is a miracle.’
What way do you live yours? I’m afraid to say, I’m a glass half empty kind of a girl. But I have discovered that expecting the worst, focusing on the bad and not looking for anything good kind of walls a person in.
I’ll be honest, there has been a dire lack of the miraculous in my life recently. OR HAS THERE?
I could tell you about the times I’ve shortened all my walks, the days I’ve opted to sit in rather than get out, the times of wishing things were as they used to be.
But what I’m going to write about are the days in Donegal when I ventured out to the shore and made it back. Or the beach we visited where the waves were literally a stone’s throw away. Or the best window seat ever, where I didn’t even need to stand up to enjoy the view. There were other little miracles, like the deep purple tulips that sprang up unexpectedly in our flower bed.
You should try it.
My hope for you is that even in the toughest of times, you can find the miraculous.
