Earlier I experienced above and beyond kindness. Do you ever see that one good experience can often open your eyes to more? If I think hard about it, there was at least one thing that happened before I’d even left the house. It is so easy to let negative events cloud your judgement about what kind of day you’re having.

Yesterday I announced that it was ‘a bad day’. But was it really? If you can, try to find even one little tiny thing that made you smile or feel better.

After 22 years of marriage my long-suffering husband tries every day to make me smile. He is, without a doubt, the light in my life. We never expected the hard vow ‘in sickness and in health’ to be the heavy burden we have to pick up every day. Without him and our children, my life would be very dark indeed.

If you have someone like that in your world, stop what you’re doing and thank them. If they are in heaven now, let your precious memories fill you with thankfulness once again.

Of course, above, beyond and within all that is our ever-present, ever loving Father, who gives us every good thing, even the Sun itself. I walk in the comforting knowledge that even in the darkest of times, His light will always shine for you
